Summary
Donors will help to fund a great project of integrating refugees in different ways. On a social base by cooking with new friends and connecting with others, and in a local community by presenting themselves and their work at big events.
Challenge:
For most people, refugees and displaced people have no face. They are just seen amongst masses of victims in the news. Suffering, loss, and abandonment defines them by popular culture. But that’s not the ONLY way to brand them. Using this narrative to define their existence, snatches away any self-respect and confidence from such people, who have equal rights to decent living and work conditions and education just like the rest of us.
Solution:
With Hope Jackets, we clothe the displaced and homeless and shelterless refugees. We give face and name to such faceless homeless people. We restore dignity in each one of them.
